Listening

Find your brand where it is said, not just written.

Most listening tools know a video only by its title and description. Video Intelligence searches YouTube captions for your brand name and plays the video from just before the moment it is spoken, including videos that never put your name in the title.

What it does

Spoken mentions, found

Commently searches an archive of YouTube captions for your keywords, with their suffixes and spelling variants, and marks where the name appears: in speech, in the title or in the description.

Straight to the second

Each result opens three seconds before your brand is said, so checking a twenty-minute video takes seconds.

Filter what deserves attention

Filter by views, duration and Shorts to separate a creator's big video from a passing mention.

New videos join on their own

Captions are scanned every week and titles and descriptions every day, so new videos reach the list without anyone searching by hand.

Questions
How is this different from YouTube search?
YouTube search mostly matches titles, descriptions and tags. Video Intelligence searches what is said inside the video, from its captions, so it finds reviews, recipes and vlogs that mention you in passing.
Does it cover every YouTube video?
It covers videos whose captions are in the archive it searches. A video without captions is found only when your name is in its title or description.
Can I search in my market's language?
Yes. Captions are searched in the language they were spoken in, and your keywords can include the spelling variants your market uses.
